About the British Admissions Alliance
The British Admissions Alliance has been established to support independent schools in developing a more structured, transparent, and effective approach to international student recruitment.
It brings together shared infrastructure, coordinated processes, and sector understanding to address the increasing complexity of global admissions.
Why we exist
International recruitment has evolved into a multi-layered, resource-intensive function. Schools are expected to manage agent relationships, family communication, application processes, and reporting across multiple markets.
For many schools, building a fully resourced international office is not proportionate or sustainable.
The British Admissions Alliance has been created to offer an alternative — a shared, professionalised approach that enables schools to operate internationally with greater structure and clarity.
What the Alliance provides
The British Admissions Alliance operates as a shared international admissions function for participating schools.
It provides coordinated support across agent management, family engagement, application handling, and reporting — while ensuring that each school retains full control over its admissions decisions.
The model is designed to combine operational efficiency with institutional integrity, allowing schools to participate in international recruitment without compromising their standards or processes.
700+ active agents worldwide
Partnership network of 100+ overseas schools
Recruitment teams located in key markets
How it works
The Alliance works in partnership with a select group of independent schools.
It manages key elements of the international admissions process on behalf of participating schools, including:
Oversight of agent relationships
Structured communication with prospective families
Coordination of applications and documentation
Tracking and reporting of recruitment activity
This approach ensures consistency, visibility, and accountability across all stages of the admissions journey.
Our approach
Structured and transparent processes
Selective school partnerships
Long-term, sustainable recruitment focus
Clear visibility of activity and outcomes
Alignment with each school’s admissions standards
Founding phase
The British Admissions Alliance is currently in its founding phase, working with a limited number of schools to establish and refine its model.
This stage is intentionally selective, ensuring that participating schools are aligned in their expectations, approach, and long-term objectives.
Founding schools will contribute to shaping the development of the Alliance while benefiting from early access to its structure and support.

Founded by IQ Schools Group
British Admissions Alliance has been founded by IQ Schools Group, an independent school operator with direct experience of building international enrolment and managing overseas recruitment activity.
IQ Schools Group owns Adcote School for Girls and Myddelton College, and through its own operations has developed practical expertise in international admissions, agent management, family engagement, and market development.
The Group has established offices in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and its head office in Birmingham, supporting recruitment activity and relationships across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Russia and CIS countries, Africa, and wider Asian markets.
British Admissions Alliance has been created to extend that experience, infrastructure, network, and market reach into a shared admissions model for selected partner schools.
This means BAA is not starting from scratch. It is built on operational school experience, active international networks, and an existing recruitment platform developed in real market conditions.
